Biography
River's all-time top scorer and one of the central figures of La Máquina. He played twenty seasons at the club, then returned as manager in the 1970s to end the longest title drought in its history, in 1975.
His name lives on in the stands, in the goal-scoring record and in how generations of supporters came to understand what being from River means.
