A plain-language summary of what nuevedediciembre.com stores and why.

What we store

• If you create an account: your email, your chosen display name, your password (always hashed, never in plain text) and your language and theme preferences.
• If you comment or vote: the comment or vote itself, plus your IP address for signed-out votes, used only to stop the same person voting repeatedly.
• If you subscribe to the newsletter: your email and, if you provide it, your name.
• If you donate: the amount, date and payment reference. Card details are handled entirely by the processor (Mercado Pago or Stripe); they never reach our server and we do not store them.

What we don't do

We don't sell or share your email. There is no paid content and no membership, so there are no consumption profiles behind a wall either.

Third parties

We use Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation), Google AdSense for advertising, Mailchimp for the newsletter, and Mercado Pago, Stripe and Cafecito for donations. Each has its own privacy policy.

Affiliate links

Some articles contain affiliate links (Mercado Libre, Amazon and similar). If you buy through them the site earns a commission at no extra cost to you. They are always disclosed.

Deleting your account

You can ask us to delete your account and data. Published comments can be anonymised or removed, whichever you prefer.
