Biography
A River player across three spells and later the most successful manager in the club's history. From his arrival on the bench in 2014 he built a side that won two Copas Libertadores, two Sudamericanas, three Recopas and a long list of domestic trophies — and, in 2018 in Madrid, beat Boca in a Libertadores final.
His second cycle in charge ran from 2024 to 2026.
